Zero point milestone which is located adjacent to Kaman Chowmuhani in Agartala has been named after the architect of modern Tripura on Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur as MBB Chowmuhani on Friday.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha was present along with the Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dipak Majumder, and other officials during the renaming ceremony. On this Zero point milestone Island, the bust of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya was unveiled.

The State Government decided to erect a statue of Maharaja Bir Bikram at Zero Point Milestone Island last year.

On the other hand, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha also took part in the inaugural ceremony of different development projects of Agartala Smart City and Agartala Municipal Corporation.
Three Themetic bus shelters in front of Umakanta Academy, IGM Hospital, and Nandan nagar were inaugurated under Smart City Mission. A flood drainage pump house has been installed in the Maharajganj market for water drainage at the expense of 1 crore 59 lakhs. As per the Mayor of AMC Dipak Majumder, there were 16 pumps in Agartala city already, and this is the 17th pump.
