NATIONAL: World leaders of G20 nations began congregating in New Delhi on Friday to attend the 18th G20 summit, which will be held in India.
Several world leaders, including the US president, British PM, Australian PM, Japanese PM, UN Secretary-General, World Bank President, and others, arrived in New Delhi on Friday to attend the G20 summit.
As they arrived at the airport, various troupes of traditional dancers performed for the leaders.
Besides, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held bilateral meetings with USA President Joe Biden, Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, and Mauritian Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth at his official residence on Friday evening.
However, India is going to host the 18th G20 summit on September 9 -10 in the nation’s capital, New Delhi.
India is holding the G20 Presidency from 1 December 2022 under the theme of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” or “One Earth – One Family – One Future.”
Since then, nearly 220 meetings have been held in over 60 cities all over India with the participation of 1000s of delegates from all over the world, including from Member countries, invited countries, and international organizations.
