NATIONAL : At Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on Thursday, paramilitary authorities apprehended a 24-year-old man who was pretending to be a pilot for Singapore Airlines.

Sangeet Singh, hailing from Uttar Pradesh, was observed by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) while he was ambling close to the metro skywalk area while sporting a pilot’s uniform. He even presented himself as a Singapore Airlines employee by wearing an ID card around his neck.

After further investigation, it was discovered that Singh’s ID card for in-flight operations and other credentials were fake.He had bought the uniform from Dwarka and used the web program Business Card Maker to manufacture the IDs while posing as a representative of Singapore Airlines.

Subsequent investigation revealed that Singh had deceived his family and friends into thinking he was a Singapore Airlines pilot after completing a one-year Aviation Hospitality course in Mumbai in 2020.A case has been filed against Sangeet Singh, who had been arrested. Singapore High Commissioner HC Wong tweeted in response to the arrest, saying, “UP man caught at IGI Airport posing as Singapore Airlines Pilot.” So happy he was apprehended.
