On Monday, in a remarkable display of solidarity and determination, twelve prominent non-governmental
organizations (NGOs) have come together to launch an unprecedented initiative against drug addiction.
The rally, which commenced from the Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan, traversed the city streets via Hari Ganga Bashak Road, culminating at City Center, Agartala.
This collaborative effort aims to create a positive social change and combat the pressing issue of drug addiction within the community for a drug-free state.
In a conversation with Agartala Buzz, the Secretary of the MMCWS said that a total of Twelve NGOs took part in today’s campaign they are Seba O Sahayata Porishad, Sanjeevani, Yuvaprerona, Madhurupa Memorial Cancer Welfare Society, Nibedon, Samajik Shikkangon, Roti Bank Foundation, Rotaract Club of Agartala Central, K-Nine, Pawsome, Purnodaya, Rotaract Club of Agartala City.
According to the statement, this joint effort by these esteemed organizations symbolizes a resolute commitment toward a drug-free society. By amalgamating their expertise, experience, and resources, the NGOs aim to generate a significant impact in raising awareness about the perils of drug addiction, promoting prevention measures, and providing support for rehabilitation.

By marching together on this crucial path, these NGOs aim to inspire communities, families, and individuals to take a stand against drug addiction, fostering an environment of compassion, understanding, and resilience.

The participating NGOs will actively engage with the community, conducting awareness campaigns, organizing educational workshops, and facilitating access to rehabilitation and counseling services.
