A Hindi feature film titled ‘Hemlock’ was released on Jio Cinemas (OTT platform) on October 18. A press conference was organized on Monday at the Agartala Press Club about this film.

Originally, the film was made in a joint venture between Mumbai and Agartala. The film’s casting was a joint effort by Agartala’s renowned casting and modeling agency, Totell Fashion, and Mumbai’s Shabros Films.

Actress of the film Debadrita Dutta, assistant director of Shabros Films Jayanta Das, Head of Operation of Totell Fashion Subhrajit Ghosh, and others were present at the press conference.

Meanwhile, the short film won the prestigious 13th Dadasaheb Phalke Awards -23 and the 11th Indian Cine Film Festival 2023.

This movie is based on the lives of an impoverished section girl, actress Debadrita Dutta informed the reporters. The central plot of this movie is about the daily struggles and obstacles faced by females from lower socioeconomic classes.

She also said that without the support of Totell Fashion, it would not have been possible to work on this film. Also, in the past days, Totell Fashion worked in the role of casting and modeling agency in another film jointly with Mumbai.

However, she requested the citizens of the state to watch the film on Jio Cinema and show support for it.
