Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha this Wednesday launched an e-Cabinet as part of his government’s efforts to go paperless for faster administrative work. Chief Minister launched the e-cabinet system by pressing a button in the cabinet room of the Secretariat.
Tripura is the fourth state to adopt the e-Cabinet system, following Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Arunachal Pradesh. The e-cabinet system introduced in Tripura is on the model of the e-cabinet system of Uttarakhand state.
Apart from this, all the departments of the state government that have made the e-office system 100 percent effective as part of the initiative to go paperless offices were felicitated today. As a mark of respect, the Chief Minister handed over certificates to the heads of each department. CM Saha termed the launch of the e-Cabinet system as a historic moment for the state.
So far, 4,250 officials and employees imparted training on the use of e-office and 41 of the 94 departments have already converted to a digital mode of work.
Chief Secretary JK Sinha said today is a historic day for the state. Tripura, like other states of the country, is moving forward towards creating Digital India.
E-cabinet and e-office have been launched as part of the digital program in the state as well. As a result of which, apart from establishing good governance, there will be transparency in administration.
