The present generation is the future of the nation. It is the government’s moral duty to keep them healthy. The country’s human resources will be in shambles if health of its citizens will not be well. To generate human resources, the government has paid attention to improving health right from childhood, enunciated Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha after inaugurating State-Level Intensified Mission Indradhanush 5.0 at Unakoti Kalakshetra on Saturday.
Infants of 0- 5 years of age group and pregnant women will be immunized under this program. The immunization program will be carried out in 3 phases where 1st phase will be carried out from August 7-12, 2nd phase will be carried out from September 11-16, and 3rd phase will be carried out from October 9-14.
Anyone can register for the same themselves to get immunized at their convenient health centers using their mobile number over the U-WIN portal.
Chief Minister conveyed that Tripura is far ahead as compared to other states of the country in terms of immunization. The rate of immunization in Tripura is about 98%. But we must reach 100%.
The state government has given utmost priority to the health sector. An amount of 59 crore rupees has been allotted under Jan Aarogya Yojana in the budget for the financial year 2023- 24. CM added that 4.75 lakh families in the state will be brought under the scheme.
The government has taken the initiative to set up yet another medical college in Ambassa. 3 Trauma Centres are being built. Apart from that, 100 more Primary Health Centres will be set up in the state, for which the required sum has been allotted in this year’s budget, the Chief Minister informed.
CM further informed that the academics at the dental college will commence next month. The Chief Minister said the government is also working towards lessening the number of referred cases. Complex surgeries such as heart and neuro are now being performed in the state.
The Chief Minister called upon everyone to make use of the opportunity. He said the government is also working towards making Tripura a medical hub.
On the other hand, Chief Minister immunized 3 infants in the inaugural program. Later, the U-WIN certificates were handed over to their mothers. He also interacted with the mothers of 2 such kids who underwent heart surgery and blood cancer treatment through Ayushman Bharat.
