The voting process of the General Assembly Election has commenced officially in Tripura. The Postal ballot voting related to General Assembly Election has started statewide since Wednesday.

Government employees engaged with Election purposes, such as security personnel, drivers of election vehicles, and emergency services employees on polling day, to cast their vote through postal ballot.

Election employees of eight assembly constituencies under Sadar Sub-division started voting through Postal ballot at Shishu Bihar School today. For the next five days voting process through Postal ballot in 23 places of the state will be taken. About 40,000 state employees and election-engaged employees applied in Form-12 for voting through postal ballot.

Chief Electoral Officer Kiran Gitte, during his visit to Shishu Bihar School along with DM, SP (West) has urged those associated with the election who have not applied yet for the postal ballot to apply within this period.
