On Tuesday, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha chaired the review meeting of Tripura Urban Planning and Development Authority (TUDA), and asked officials to complete the Township project work expeditiously by maintaining the quality and also suggested having Rain Water Harvesting System in the flats.

‘The problems in the implementation of all these township projects should be resolved quickly.’ Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha stated this at the Tripura Urban Planning and Development Authority (TUDA) review meeting.

In the meeting, the Chief Minister suggested having a Rainwater Harvesting System in the flats currently constructed in the township project.

It is to be noted that the township project work is now underway near Vivekananda Market in Kaman Chowhumini and the Kunjaban area in Agartala.

On the other hand, in the meeting, the current status of various township projects of the Tripura Urban Planning and Development Authority, and various initiatives taken for the development of the city area were discussed in detail.

In the review meeting, the Chief Minister said that people of the state tend to buy flats. So he directed the department to promote the flats currently constructed in Agartala under TUDA.

While he also suggested that these flats should be subject to certain conditions so that ownership of the flats is properly maintained. Chief Minister emphasized in the meeting to utilize the Prime Minister Gati Shakti scheme in implementing its projects. The Chief Minister directed the concerned officials to speedily complete the work of the lighthouse project under construction in the Golchakkar area of Agartala. The meeting also discussed the appointment of economic advisers to manage TUDA’s operations in a well-planned manner.

The Township project near Vivekananda Market will include the construction of 48 G+4 flats overall. The officials present at the meeting also disclosed that 48 flats have already been booked. Kunjaban Township Project and Akhaura Golchakkar Lighthouse Project are now under construction. Within the Lighthouse project, a total of 1,000 flats will be built.
