On the occasion, the Information Technology Minister said that so far 40,215 students of the state have been given assistance to purchase smartphones. In the academic year 2022-23, undergraduate students of the state were deprived of the benefits of this scheme.

On the occasion, Information Technology Minister Pranajit Singha Roy said that after the launch of this project, 7,286 students in the academic year 2019-20, 9,579 students in the academic year 2020-21, 11,892 students in the academic year 2021-22 and 11,458 students have been benefited in the academic year 2023-24, overall Rs 20 crores and 11 lakhs have been spent on this event.
