For the modernization of the Railway Stations of the country, Tripura’s Udaipur, Kumarghat, and Dharmanagar Railway Stations are also to be redeveloped as a part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the redevelopment of 508 stations across the country, including Tripura, through video conferencing on Sunday.
The redevelopment of the three stations in Tripura will cost Rs 96 crore, while the total project cost is Rs 24,470 crore.
On that basis, programs were organized at Udaipur, Kumarghat, and Dharmanagar railway stations, while Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha attended the program at Udaipur Railway Station.
Chief Minister, Dr. Manik Saha, expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishaw for including Udaipur, Dharmanagar, and Kumarghat railway stations from the State in the redevelopment project.
CM highlighted in the program that the North-East region’s communication system with the rest of the country has undergone significant development. The North-Eastern region’s growth was enhanced by the Act East Policy. Additionally, the state will soon have several air, rail, and road connections with neighboring country Bangladesh.
Along with Chief Minister, Union MoS Pratima Bhowmik and other dignitaries were present. Similarly, at Dharmanagar and Kumarghat Railway Stations, Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen and Welfare of Schedule Cast Minister Sudhagnshu Das were present.
