Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that the State Government is working on green hydrogen and also discussed how to advance green hydrogen based on bamboo.
In a Press Conference, Chief Minister stated that the Central Government has adopted the Green Hydrogen Policy to increase green hydrogen in the country. For this reason, resources of 10 thousand crore rupees have been kept in the Union Budget of 2023-24.
The State Government is also working on solar energy and biomass projects as renewable energy. 18 microgrid stations have already been set up in remote areas where electricity cannot reach. Besides, the initiative of another 1274 microgrid stations to set up has been taken. Installation of solar energy is also going on in the Dumbur area. He said that in 2005 families in the state have been brought under the biogas project. The government has planned to bring in 3 thousand more families under the biogas scheme.
CM Saha had insightful discussions with investors from various parts of the country & abroad during an Investor’s Meet at Hapania international indoor exhibition center. Meanwhile, investors participating in the conference also expressed interest in setting up bamboo-based, food processing, tourism, information technology, and pharmaceutical-based industries in the state.
