STATE : Electricity Department is working responsibly to provide uninterrupted power service to the consumers of the state. Apart from the 1912 number of the call center, the department has also launched WhatsApp number (9863596081), Vidyutbandhu app, website (www.tsecl.in) etc. to solve various problems related to electricity.Electricity consumers should be made more aware to use them. Power Minister Ratan lal Nath said this in a press conference on Sunday.

The Power Minister also said that the highest electricity consumption in the state is in the Agartala city area. A new call number has been launched from today to solve various electricity related problems of Agartala Circle No. 1 electricity customers quickly. This number is 6033132082. Along with 1912 number, customers will also get 24 hours service through this number. In the press conference, the Power Minister said that even though there is no load shedding in the state, there are occasional power cuts. The power minister said that due to excessive heat this year, consumers have increased the use of refrigerators and ACs. But in the case of AC usage, it appears that consumers are not informing the electricity department about this. As a result, transformers or various electrical devices are damaged due to excess power load and power cuts are taking place.

Therefore, the legitimate consumers of electricity are requested to take permission from the electricity department for additional electricity consumption within the next 10 days. Otherwise, necessary action will be taken as per Section 163 and 126 of the Indian Electricity Act, 2003.
