STATE: The results of Higher Secondary and Secondary examinations conducted by the TBSE have been declared today. This year, the pass rate in the secondary examination is 87.54 percent, and the pass rate in the higher secondary examination is 79.27 percent respectively.

TBSE President Dr. Dhananjoy Gan Chowdhury said in a press conference that this is the first time that the board results have been published in May instead of June.

In the press conference, the president of the board also said that 33,739 candidates from 1,057 schools of the state sat for this year’s secondary examination. Among them, the number of male students is 15,782, and the number of female students is 17,957. A total of 29,534 passed, 4,205 failed. A total of 310 schools have a 100 percent pass rate, while there were 16 schools where no one has passed. Gomati, South Tripura, and West Tripura districts are ranked 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively in terms of pass rate. He further said that 25,350 candidates from 409 schools sat for the higher secondary examination.

Among them, the number of male students is 12,015, and the number of female students is 13,335. A total of 20,095 students passed. The pass rate is 79.27 percent. 5,255 failed and 168 did not sit for the exam. The number of schools where 100 percent of students passed the higher secondary examination was 39, and the number of schools where all failed was 13. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in terms of pass rate are Sepahijala, West Tripura, and South Tripura districts respectively.

The higher secondary examination in the state started on March 1 and ended on March 30. A total of 60 centers conducted the exam. Among the total higher secondary examinees, there were 24,266 regular students, 339 continuous students, 526 compartmental students, 192 external students, and 27 other students.

22 students sat for the exam in Madrasa Fazil Arts Department, and all passed. 49 students sat for the examination in Madrasa Fazil Theology Department, and 48 passed. In this year’s higher secondary examination, 92 students appeared for the Divyangjan exam, and 58 passed. Moreover, this year 1 candidate of the third gender also gave and passed the Higher Secondary Examination. In Tripura Tribal Area Autonomous District Council, the pass rate is 70.57 percent. He also said that the evaluation of answer sheets of intermediate and higher secondary examinations started last April 24 and concluded on May 12.
