STATE: Tata Technology Limited and the state government will work together to build 19 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) around the state. At the most recent state cabinet meeting, the idea to collaborate for the next five years on a nomination basis was accepted. During a news conference at the Secretariat, Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury provided information on this decision, which was authorized by the last cabinet. He said that in addition to improving the state’s ITI infrastructure, this program aims to make it easier for ITI graduates from startups to find employment overseas. In this respect, Tata Technology Limited and the state government would shortly sign an agreement.

Under this program, 11 additional trades have been introduced to the ITIs, Minister Chowdhury added. It will cost Rs 683 crore 27 lakh 80 thousand to carry out this collaborative project. Tata Technology Limited will pay 86% of this, with the state government covering the remaining 14% of the project’s cost. In addition, a further Rs 107.6 million will be spent by the state government to enhance infrastructure throughout the 19 ITIs in the state, covering an area of 13,000 square feet.
