Approximately Rs 40 crore in “unaccounted” cash was found by the Income Tax department on Saturday during searches against a few shoe companies in Agra, according to official sources.

The sources stated that the amount of cash is still being counted and could increase.

They claimed that during an afternoon raid, a shoe seller in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, and his affiliated companies were found to be in possession of cash totaling Rs 40 crore.
