The Tripura cabinet has now allowed the PRTC (Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate) as mandatory for Government jobs in the state.
This decision was taken in the cabinet meeting on Tuesday. Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury announced this decision of the Cabinet in a press conference in the Secretariat in the evening.
He also stated at the press conference that if a qualified candidate for a position is not available in the state, then a candidate from outside the state will be permitted to apply for the position.
The cabinet also cleared a proposal for procuring 35,000 MT of paddy from farmers in the current fiscal, Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury told a press conference.
“The government will spend Rs 85.64 crore for the purpose. The paddy procurement will be done in 40 locations across the state,”
