In order to accommodate the increasing passenger traffic between Agartala-Guwahati and Silchar-Naharlagun, Northeast Frontier Railway has introduced two Summer Special Trains.

Meanwhile, Agartala – Guwahati train No. 05628 will depart from Agartala at 19:00 hrs every Thursday and will reach Guwahati at 08:45 hrs the following day. While train No. 05627 will depart from Guwahati at 13:15 hours every Friday and arrive at Agartala at 04:35 hours the next day.

Similarly, Silchar-Naharlagun special train no. 05638 will depart from Silchar at 13:50 hours every Monday, arriving at Naharlagun at 08:30 hours the following day. On the other hand, train no. 05637 will depart from Naharlagun at 10:00 hours every Tuesday and reach Silchar at 04:40 hours the next day.

Note that, NFR is to operate a total of 11 trips as summer special trains to clear the extra rush. The special train between Agartala and Guwahati connecting Tripura and Assam will operate for 11 trips from June 22 to September 01 in both directions. Similarly, the special train between Silchar-Naharlagun will run for a total of 11 trips from June 19 to August 29 in both directions.
