In a remarkable achievement for Tripura’s agricultural sector, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Khowai has been conferred the Best KVK Award 2024–25 for the state by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) – ATARI, Zone VII, Umiam, Meghalaya. The prestigious honour was presented during the 9th Foundation Day celebration of ICAR-ATARI on 24th June 2025.
The award ceremony, held with much fanfare, was graced by eminent personalities including Dr. Ampareen Lyngdoh, Agriculture Minister of Meghalaya, Dr. B.C. Deka, Vice Chancellor of Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Jorhat, and Dr. A.K. Mohanty, Director of ICAR-ATARI, Meghalaya.
