The Central Government appointed Justice Todupunuri Amarnath Goud as the acting Chief Justice of Tripura High Court on Wednesday. He is the Senior most Judge of the Tripura High Court.
Department of Justice of the Ministry of Law and Justice on Wednesday released a notification where it has been mentioned that Justice T. Amarnath Goud will assume the office of Chief Justice from November 11. As a consequent upon the retirement of Chief Justice Indrajit Mahanty.
About Justice Goud:
Justice T. Amarnath Goud enrolled as an advocate in September 1990 in the Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh, where he actively practiced civil, criminal, constitutional, and all other branches of law. He was elevated as a Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the State of Telangana and the State of Andhra Pradesh on 21.09.2017. During his tenure of four years at the Telangana High Court, Justice Goud disposed of 87,957 cases. Justice Goud took oath as a Judge of the High Court of Tripura on 28.10.2021 .
