NORTHEAST: Indian Railways will operate a Bharat Gaurav train tour to the North Eastern States from Delhi on the 16th of November.
The tour will cover Guwahati, Sivasagar, Jorhat, and Kaziranga in Assam, Unakoti, Agartala, and Udaipur in Tripura, Dimapur and Kohima in Nagaland and Shillong and Cherrapunji in Meghalaya over the 15 days tour. The fully air-conditioned train provides three types of accommodation- AC -1, AC -2 and AC -3.
The Railways Ministry said that the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train was launched in line with the government initiatives Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat and Dekho Apna Desh to encourage domestic tourism.
The train has enhanced security features like CCTV cameras, electronic safes, and dedicated security guards appointed for each coach.
