STATE: Finally, with the start of the Agartala-Chittagong airline service on September 17, Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport’s name will be added to the International Aviation Sector.
With this flight service, people of Tripura will be able to board an international flight from Agartala and go to Chittagong, Bangladesh.
According to a post by the Airports Authority of India on X (formerly Twitter), there will be a direct flight between Agartala and Chittagong.
AAI posted, “To strengthen the International Air Connectivity, #AAI is consistently adding new flight routes from its various Airports. #AAI’s #AgartalaAirport @aaiagtairport will be soon directly connected with #Chittagong through a new flight service commencing on September, 17th 2023.”
“In line with the same, a high-level meeting was recently chaired by the Hon’ble CM of Tripura, @DrManikSaha2, for the planned launch of the Agartala-Chittagong flight,” it added.
The State Government has not yet provided an official statement, though.
