For the second consecutive term, the Government led by Dr. Manik Saha and Cabinet Ministry Sworn-in at a grand ceremony in Swami Vivekananda Ground, Agartala, on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, and Chief Ministers of the Northeastern States i.e., Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, and Sikkim were among those present at the swearing-in ceremony.
BJP MLA and Union MoS Pratima Bhoumik, Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Deb, along with other dignitaries were present during the ceremony.
In today’s swearing-in ceremony along with Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, eight other Ministers took oath in CM Saha’s Cabinet, from where Four Ministers have been retained from the previous Government are Ratan Lal Nath, Sushanta Chowdhury, Pranajit Singha Roy, and Santana Chakma. The party inducted three new faces for Minister they are Tinku Roy, Sudhanshu Das, and Bikash Debbarma, while BJP’s Alliance partner IPFT’s only one MLA Sukla Charan Noatia took oath as Minister.
Earlier, after being elected as the leader of the Legislature Party, Dr. Manik Saha called on Governor at Raj Bhavan and staked claim to form the Government in the State.
Meanwhile, CPIM along with Congress Party has decided to boycott the swearing-in ceremony in Swami Vivekananda Ground.
