STATE: In accordance to the approval of the Election Commission of India, Padmasree Dr. Dipa Karmakar, Indian Gymnast has been appointed as a State Icon by the Election Department to campaign for maximization of enrolment in the Electoral Roll and mass Participation in the Election process.

The news has been informed through a press release by the Election Department.
