Specialist surgeons of the Ear, Nose and Throat Department (ENT) have successfully completed a complex and delicate surgery at Tripura’s biggest Government Hospital AGMC & GBP on Wednesday.

A 32-year-old resident of Dukli in Agartala was fatally injured after a sharp iron rod pierced his throat in an accident. Following initial examination of the patient, the doctors decided to undergo a quick operation.
 
After his physical condition improved following initial treatment, a surgical team led by specialist doctors from the Nose, Ear, and Throat Department of AGMC & GBP Hospital on Wednesday removed the iron rod with a piece of cloth from the patient’s throat through a very complex and delicate surgery.
 
Following surgery, the patient is currently under the care of doctors in the ENT ward.The surgical team consisted of ENT specialist Dr. Tarun Guha, Dr. Tanmoy Deb, Dr. Satyakam Chakraborty, Dr. Sayantan Rudrapal, Anesthetist Dr. Bhaskar Majumder, Dr. Bidhan Das, Dr. Biswajit Sutradhar along with 3 assistants, staff nurses, and other health workers.
 
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha hailed and congratulated doctors, staff, and health workers involved in this surgery.
