Ahead of the G20 summit, Tripura’s two iconic tourist destinations have organized light and sound shows. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated these two projects on Saturday evening.
By inaugurating a laser, light, and sound show in India’s largest water palace, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said “Neermahal, one of the most important tourist locations in Tripura, is ready to welcome the G20 delegates with a vibrant ambiance.” In Neermahal, ramps have been made using traditional saal wood. The cleaning of the lake as well as deploying 4 (four) new speed boats is an attraction that would showcase Tripura on a global platform as a preferred location for the tourist to visit in the future.
Apart from this, a 30-minute light and sound show at Ujjayanta Palace has been organized, in which the state’s history will be displayed. Furthermore, the delegates will attend a gala dinner at Ujjayanta Palace.
Tripura is one of the 65 cities that were short-listed to bring the G20 delegates to India. The delegates would be coming by Chartered flight on April 2, and the programme flow is at Annexure. “Clean energy for a Green Future” is the theme of the Science Event.
