STATE : Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha wrote a letter requesting Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to arrange a special train service from Agartala to Ayodhya for the devotees of Tripura who were eager to attend the inauguration of Ram Mandir.

The letter was shared by Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury in a post from his official social media handle.

According to the letter, around 2,000 devotees from Tripura are planning to witness the inauguration of Ram Mandir in January. The devotees will start their journey from Agartala to Ayodhya on January 20 and return on January 23, in the year, 2024.

In the letter, the Chief Minister further wrote, “I would be grateful if you could direct the concerned authorities to look into this matter urgently and take the necessary steps to arrange the special train service on 20th January 2024 from Agartala to Ayodhya and return train from Ayodhya to Agartala on 23rd January 2023. The fair cost may be borne by the pilgrims on their own.”
