The Rath Yatra has a vibrant tradition in the state. To participate in this Rath Yatra festival, people wait all year long. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said during the inauguration of the ISKCON Rath Yatra on Tuesday in Agartala.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha also praised the ISKCON by saying that “this Rath Yatra festival is being celebrated all over the world today under the initiative of ISKCON. This effort to promote the glorious tradition and culture of India’s Rath Yatra to people all over the world is truly commendable”

Chief Minister extended love and greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of the Rath Yatra festival.

Apart from Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Transport and Tourism Minister Sushant Chowdhury, Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tinku Roy, MLA Rampada Jamatia, Agartala ISKCON Mission Joint Principal Sridam Gobinda Das and others were present on the occasion.

Inaugurating the Rath Yatra, CM also highlighted that God does not reside only in temples. He is always present among the common people during Rath Yatra.

Despite the rain, Jagannath’s magnificent Rath Yatra drew devotees in record numbers in Agartala. Devotees showed their enthusiasm during chariot pulling.
