STATE: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today paid last respects to the mortal remains of martyred Indian Army soldier Subhankar Bhowmik at MBB Airport, Agartala. When the body of martyr Subhankar Bhowmik arrived at MBB Airport on Wednesday while on duty at the Siachen border, the Chief Minister paid tribute to the memory of this heroic son of the state by placing a wreath on the body.

The Chief Minister said that as a tribute to the sacrifice of this heroic son of the state, the family of Subhankar Bhowmik has been given Rs. 4 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha expressed his condolences to the bereaved family members and said, “We will remember the bravery and determination of martyr Subhankar Bhowmik with pride for a long time in protecting our motherland.”
