STATE : Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha attended the first foundation day celebration of Agartala Government Dental College at Rabindra Bhawan on Monday.

While addressing the attendees, the Chief Minister said that Agartala Government Dental College is one of the flagships in the development of health services in the state. So, everyone should strive to make this dental college a ‘Centre of Excellence’ in the field of health services. Apart from this, everyone should take the initiative to make this dental college, the pride of the state, a research center.

Hailing the college, CM Saha noted that Agartala Government Dental College is no less than any other dental college in the country. All the faculty or inspectors who have visited this dental college have highly appreciated the infrastructure of this college. As a result, this college got the approval of the Dental Council of India very quickly.

Further addressing the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the state government had to face various hurdles in setting up this college. However, after many efforts, it became possible to establish this college in the state. The DoNER Ministry of the Central Government has sanctioned an amount of Rs 200 crore for the infrastructural development of this dental college.
