STATE: The state cabinet meeting has decided to create a total of 1,566 teaching positions under the Department of School Education. This includes 1,099 posts for undergraduate teachers and 467 posts for graduate teachers. Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury announced this decision during a press conference at the secretariat’s press conference hall on Friday. He stated that the decision was made in the cabinet meeting held the previous day. The recruitment for these teaching positions will be conducted through TRBT.
Additionally, the cabinet meeting has approved the appointment of 112 special educators for 125 Vidyajyoti schools across the state, with these educators being hired on a fixed-pay basis. The tourism minister also mentioned that the cabinet decided to recruit 198 junior engineers—105 with degrees and 93 with diplomas—for the rural development department. This recruitment process will be carried out through TPSC.
