Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently inaugurated the foundation laying ceremony for a monumental 108-feet tall statue of Lord Ram in the sacred town of Mantralayam, situated in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district. This auspicious event marks a significant milestone in India’s cultural and religious landscape, promising to establish the statue as the tallest of its kind dedicated to Lord Ram in the country.

Led by the Jai Shri Ram Foundation, the ambitious project aims to pay homage to Lord Sri Rama, a revered deity in Hindu mythology renowned for his moral values and righteous leadership. Crafted from ‘panchaloha,’ a revered alloy of five metals, the statue’s construction is projected to cost approximately Rs 300 crore. The selection of Mantralayam holds profound spiritual significance, drawing on its historical ties and reputation as a spiritual hub.

The towering Lord Ram statue, upon completion, will serve as a potent symbol of devotion, cultural heritage, and national pride. Expected to draw pilgrims and tourists alike, it will also house a Ram mandir, providing a serene sanctuary for devotees to offer prayers and seek solace.

Beyond its religious importance, the statue is anticipated to stimulate the local economy through increased tourism, employment opportunities, and infrastructure development. Nestled along the tranquil banks of the Tungabhadra River, Mantralayam’s picturesque surroundings will offer a picturesque backdrop to this monumental tribute

With the laying of the foundation stone, anticipation mounts for the completion of this majestic Lord Ram statue. More than a physical edifice, it symbolizes the profound faith and reverence cherished by millions across India.
