Northeast’s Andrea Kevichusa from Nagaland and Paalin Kabak from Arunachal Pradesh are on the nomination list for this year’s 68th Filmfare Awards 2023. 
 
Andrea Kevichusa debuted in the Bollywood movie ”Anek.” The film was written and directed by Anubhav Sinha. For her outstanding performance in the movie, Andrea is nominated in the ‘Best Debut Female’ category. She appeared in the film alongside Ayushman Khurana. She portrayed a Northeastern boxer in the drama. 
 
Andrea is also known as ‘Carol,’ she has worked as a model for brands including Sabyasachi Mukherjee and several other notable brands. She also worked for Kay Beauty, the cosmetics company founded by Katrina Kaif.
 
Another North-Eastern, in the category of ‘Best Debut Male,’ is Paalin Kabak, who is nominated for his work in the movie “Bhediya.” He received praise for his first acting performance in the movie along with Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. In the movie, he appeared as Varun Dhawan’s pal.
 
Along with Andrea and Paalin, Assam filmmaker Suman Adhikary has been co-nominated in two categories for the 68th Filmfare Awards. Adhikary has been nominated along with Akshat Ghildiyal in the Best Story category for the Rajkumar Rao-Bhumi Pednekar starrer ‘Badhaai Do’.
