STATE: Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu attended the 76th NCC Day celebration at the Albert Ekka War Memorial Park in Agartala on Sunday morning.

During the event, organized by the NCC Alumni Association and the 13th Tripura NCC Battalion, the Governor emphasized the important role the National Cadet Corps (NCC) plays in fostering a spirit of national unity among the youth across the country. He noted that the NCC provides not only military training but also develops leadership skills, discipline, and social responsibility among its cadets.

The Governor stated that the training provided by the NCC not only facilitates opportunities for employment in the armed forces but also lays a foundation for success in various aspects of life. On this occasion, he received a guard of honour from the NCC cadets and paid tribute by placing a wreath at the Ekka War Memorial.

Governor Nallu also highlighted the bravery and self-sacrifice demonstrated by Tripura’s NCC cadets during times of calamity. He acknowledged their significant role in protecting the environment and maintaining law and order, asserting that the strength of the country lies in its youth. He remarked that the NCC has proven that when youth energy is properly harnessed, it can become the backbone of a prosperous and strong India.

As part of the celebrations, the Governor inaugurated a “Run for Fun” race. Afterwards, Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tingku Roy Elbert flagged off a cyclothon from Ekka Park, in which the Governor also participated, along with NCC alumni and cadets.
