STATE: The annual dress allowance of the state police has been increased from Rs 7,500 to Rs 9,500. The monthly ration money of the state police has also been increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000. The cabinet meeting also decided to increase the annual dress allowance of TSR jawans from Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000. Moreover, the monthly ration money of TSR jawans has been increased from Rs 11,000 to Rs 22,000. In a press conference, Food Minister Sushanta Chowdhury informed about this decision of the cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

In a press conference, the Food Minister said that before Diwali, it was announced that the ration money of TSR jawans would be increased from Rs 1000 to Rs 2000 and the annual dress allowance of TSR jawans would be increased from Rs 10 thousand to Rs 12 thousand. It was approved in today’s cabinet meeting. The Food Minister said that there are currently 21,794 jawans in the state including TSR and Police.

On the other hand, the Food Minister also presented information regarding the appointment of people in various departments in the Cabinet meeting. He said, it has been decided to appoint 125 physical education teachers under the school education department and 75 junior physical instructors under the youth affairs and sports department. Besides, the decision to appoint 53 fishery officers under the Department of Fisheries was taken in the Cabinet meeting.
