STATE : A Media Advisory Committee has been established in the state with Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha as its Chairman. The committee’s purpose is to guide on various media-related matters within the Information and Culture Department.

The committee includes editors, senior journalists, prominent journalists, news correspondents, and photojournalists from various news media outlets in the state.

Additionally, the Secretary of the Information and Culture Department will serve as the Vice Chairman, and the Director of the Information and Culture Department will act as the convener of the Media Advisory Committee. The committee’s term will be one year from the date of notification.

It’s important to note that the government is committed to the welfare of journalists and the media in the state. In line with this commitment, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has approved the installation of elevators at the Agartala Press Club, with a budget of Rs 78 lakh earmarked for this initiative.
