STATE : The Chief Minister inaugurated the Tripura Sundari Festival at the Tripurasundari Maa Temple in Udaipur on Wednesday. The temple is a significant religious tourist center, attracting a large number of visitors from across the country throughout the year.

During the inauguration ceremony, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha announced that the central government has provided over 37 crore rupees for the beautification of the temple through the Prasad project. The Tripura government has also extended financial assistance for the construction work. The foundation stone for the project was laid by the former President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, on June 7, 2018, and the project is now in its final stages.

The Chief Minister expressed hope that the renovated Mata Tripurasundari temple will become a prominent religious tourist center, attracting visitors from both India and abroad, thus boosting the tourism industry and benefiting the local community.
