STATE : On Monday, direct flights began operating between Hyderabad and Agartala. At a ceremony at MBB Airport, Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu inaugurated the Agartala-Hyderabad Indigo flight service.
On the occasion, the Governor thanked Indigo Airlines on behalf of the people of Tripura and requested the people of Tripura to take advantage of this direct air service for traveling from Agartala to Hyderabad. It may be noted that the Governor himself is going to Hyderabad on this flight.
Speaking to media persons on occasion, the Governor said that Agartala airport is the second busiest airport in the North Eastern region. The people of Tripura and Bangladesh will especially benefit from the introduction of direct flight services between Agartala and Hyderabad. Because they go to different parts of South India for treatment.
The governor expressed hope that international flight services from MBB airport would also be launched soon. From the Agartala sector, this flight will be operating on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
