Kharchi Puja will be held in the fourteenth deity temple from July 14, 2024, to July 20, 2024. On the occasion of Kharchi Puja, the traffic department issued some traffic restrictions to facilitate the movement of people and vehicles. Moreover, parking zones and no-parking zones have been arranged.
According to the traffic department, the vehicles from Agartala towards Chaturdasa Devata Mandir will be parked at Vijay Sangh and Dashamighat grounds for 7 days from July 14, 2024, to July 20, 2024. Arrangements have been made to park vehicles from Jirania and Champaknagar at the Bodhisukha school grounds.
All government vehicles will be on the Pallimangal Higher Secondary School grounds. Vehicles coming from Vishalgarh via bypass will be parked in the Kalitala area. Vehicles from Sadar Uttaranchal through Banikya Chowmuhani have been arranged to park on one side of Shankar Sarani Jatrabari Road.
No-Parking Zone: Areas from Vijay Sangh Drop Gate to Dalura Drop Gate on National Highway 8, Briddhanagar to Chandrapur on National Highway 8, Khairpur to Kathiababa Ashram on Bypass Road have been declared as no-parking zones for all vehicles. All heavy vehicles going towards Agartala through the National Highway will be controlled up to Madhabbari and Amtali area from July 14 to July 20, 2024, every day from 8 am to 11 pm. Vehicular traffic will be controlled from Howrah Bridge in Khairpur to Devtabari, Chandrapur to Baldakhal road via old Agartala, vehicles going towards Devtabari via Amtali-Khairpur bypass to Kalitala, 14th Devtabari up to Muktinagar area of the new road.
According to the traffic department, the period of vehicle control may be extended according to the situation.
