STATE: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha attended and inaugurated the National Doctor’s Day program on Monday at Rabindra Bhawan, here in Agartala.
In the event, the Chief Minister also said that the development of health services in the state is the responsibility of the government One of the priority areas. Efforts have been taken to develop a medical hub in Tripura in the near future. The current government of the state has taken this effort to improve health services. Various steps have been taken to provide better health services to the people of the rural areas of the state.
In the event, the Chief Minister referred to all the plans taken for the development of health services in the state and said that for the development of health services and infrastructure, the Ministry of DoNER has recently sanctioned a total of Rs 515 crore rupees for 5 projects. Among them, there are 3 projects for health infrastructure development. These are Rs 202 crores for the construction of Agartala Dental College, Agartala Government Medical College and GBP Hospital with 200 beds for mother and child. Rs 192 crores have been allocated for the construction of the health department, and Rs 121 crores have been allocated for the establishment of a de-addiction center in Bishramganj. Moreover, 20 DNB seats have been approved in 4 departments in IGM Hospital under the National Board of Examination. A new digital service called ‘Mera Hospital’ portal has also been launched. Tripura Institute of Paramedical Science College and School of Nursing GNM Course with 40 Seats has been launched. The Chief Minister said that recently the number of seats in Agartala Government Medical College MBBS course has been increased from 100 to 150.
