STATE : The current state government has not imposed any additional tax burden on the people in the last 6 years. However, in the fiscal year 2022-23, more than 3000 crores of tax has been collected in the state in various tax sectors. Tripura’s revenue in this sector is increasing due to the government working with the tax-paying people. Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy stated while inaugurating the 8th GST (Goods and Services Tax) Day celebrations at Pragan Bhavan.

In the event, among the businesses in the last financial year, the organization that has paid the highest tax was awarded.
Inaugurating the event, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy also said that the communication system plays a key role in the development of any place.

In a discussion on the occasion, Finance Department Secretary Apurba Roy said that in the fiscal year 2022-23, the income in the GST sector in the state is about 1 thousand 899 crores. He expressed hope that the tax collection in this sector will increase by 15 percent in the next five years.
