STATE : Consumers should be aware of their respective responsibilities, rights, and obligations. In a society where consumers are more aware, society and the state progress faster. Consumers should also come forward with the government to prevent the activities of unscrupulous traders. Food Minister Sushant Chowdhury said this while inaugurating the consumer awareness discussion cycle and open quiz competition at Rabindra Bhawan on Wednesday.

Sadar sub-divisional administration organized this discussion cycle and quiz competition. Inaugurating the discussion cycle and quiz competition, Food Minister Sushant Chowdhury also said that the greatest resource of the country is human resources. The more aware the human resources of the country is, the more developed the country is.

Sushanta Chowdhury also said that Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions have already been set up in the state for consumer’s benefit.

There are also 4 Consumer Courts in the West, South, Dhalai, and North Districts. However, the government has also taken the initiative to set up consumer courts in the other 4 districts of the state, the Food Minister stated.

On the other hand, Tripura High Court Judge and Tripura State Consumer Commission Chairman Arindam Lodh urged to organize such discussions in every school.
