STATE: It was decided to recruit 469 posts in various departments of the state. This decision was taken in the State cabinet meeting on June 13 and 15. Food Minister Sushanta Chowdhury was informed about the decisions taken by the Cabinet in a press conference at the press conference on Tuesday.
He said that out of 469 posts, 226 are in the Health and Family Welfare Department, General Duty Medical Officer (Grade-4), 16 Super Specialty Medical Officers (Grade-3), 172 Specialist Medical Officers (Grade-4), and Fire and Emergency Services Department. 49 sub-officers (Group C) will be recruited under the recruitment process for all these posts, which will be done through TPSC.
It has also been decided to recruit six food sub-inspectors (Group C) under the Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs. The recruitment process for these six posts will be done through JRBT.
In the press conference, the Food Minister also said that in the cabinet meeting, it had been decided to re-employ 67 retired police officers of the state to facilitate the opening of immigration at Nishchintapur Railway Station, Sabroom ICP, and Agartala MBB Airport on the advice of the Central Government.
