STATE : With respect to the accident of the Agartala Sealdah Kanchanjungha Express that occurred near New Jalpaiguri, two injured passengers of the state have been identified till now, as informed by the state administration.

They are Anup Das (28 years old), S/O. Dhananjoy Das of Renters Colony, Jogendra Nagar, Agartala, and Hasan Shekh (23 years old), S/O Yadil Shekh of Madhya Bhuban Ban, Agartala. Both injured persons are presently undergoing treatment at North Bengal Medical College. As per available information, both of them sustained minor injuries.

Members of the team sent to the spot from Tripura Bhavan visited the hospital, met with them, and extended support. Team members also took measures to make contact between the injured passengers and their respective family members. Till now, both injured passengers have received financial assistance of Rs. 50,000 from the Railway Authority.
