In a move that marks a significant milestone for connectivity in Tripura, the Sealdah-bound Kanchenjunga Express is slated to commence its journey from Sabroom station in the South District starting June 18. The Kanchanjunga Express operates under the numbers 13173 from Sealdah (SDAH) to Sabroom (SBRM) and 13174 on the return trip. The train departs from Sealdah at 06:50 hours and arrives at Sabroom at 20:00 hours, while the return journey starts at Sabroom at 06:20 hours and concludes at Sealdah at 19:20 hours. The express makes notable stops at Agartala (AGTL), where it arrives at 17:25 hours and departs at 17:40 hours, and Udaipur (UDPU), with a brief two-minute halt. The timings and stoppages for other stations along the route will remain unchanged.
The introduction of this service is a testament to the special initiative taken to enhance the transportation network in the state, which will facilitate easier and more efficient travel for the people.
