STATE: State Chief Electoral Officer Punit Agarwal visited the strongrooms at Umakant Academy on Wednesday afternoon. At that time, he was accompanied by 1- Returning Officer of Tripura West Parliamentary Area and Deputy Magistrate of West Tripura District, and Dr. Vishal Kumar was also present.
After visiting the strongroom, the chief election officer said that the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections in 20 places of the state will be held on June 4. Various steps have been taken to complete the counting work in each polling station while maintaining peace and order.
Each counting center is equipped with a CCTV system, fire fighting system, 3-level security systems as well as an uninterrupted power supply. Administrative officials as well as representatives of various political parties are reviewing the security arrangements of the strongrooms from time to time. No strongroom complaints have been filed so far.
The Chief Election Officer expressed satisfaction with the various measures taken in the various strongrooms of the state.
