STATE: Tea e-auction centre will be open in Tripura soon. This e-auction center will be set up at the Durgabari Tea Estate. Regarding this, the central government has given a green signal to the state. Chairman of Tripura Tea Development Corporation Samir Ranjan Ghosh shared the information in a Press Conference.

This e-auction centre will be the 7th centre in the entire country. If the e-auction center is launched in the state, Tripura’s tea will get a fair price according to its quality, the Chairman of TTDCL said.

The Chairman also stated that the state’s tea sector employs about twenty thousand people. The state produces about one crore kilograms of tea annually.

The Chairman concluded the conference by stating that Tripura ranks fifth in the country in terms of tea production. This e-auction center will play a major role in giving special recognition to the tea of Tripura at the national and international levels.
