STATE : Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu chaired an important meeting with secretaries of the Rural Development Department and Urban Development Department at Raj Bhavan, Agartala.

In the meeting, The Governor inquired about the various projects and programs of the Rural Development Department. Moreover, the Governor also inquired about the progress of the project implementation of this department.

The Governor asked the Secretary and other officials of the Rural Development Department to identify the people living in poverty in the rural areas and give priority to their overall development. He directed the completion of the construction of houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana quickly.

The Governor emphasized the development of road connectivity in the villages that need to be connected. He also directed that at least one village should be identified, and the people there should be encouraged in various income-based programs.

Besides this, Urban Development Department Secretary Abhishek Singh informed the Governor about the various activities of the department. Commissioner of Agartala Municipal Corporation, Dr. Shailesh Kumar Yadav, briefed the Governor about the various developmental programs of the AMC area.

Secretary of Rural Development Department Dr. Sandeep R Rathore, Secretary of Urban Development Department Abhishek Singh, and Commissioner of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dr. Shailesh Kumar Yadav, along with other officials of RD & UD department were present during the meeting.
