Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today visited some government buildings in Agartala city.
The Chief Minister also paid a visit to the apartments constructed as part of the TUDA Township project, the flats currently under construction as part of the Light House project next to the Agartala ICP, and the multi-level parking complex being built at the city’s old motor stand.
On this day, the Chief Minister also made his first visit to Matangini Pritilata Auditorium. The auditorium is currently undergoing renovations. The PWD Engineers have been instructed by the Chief Minister to ensure that the renovation work is completed quickly and to a high standard.
After that, the Chief Minister visited Rabindra Bhavan. During the inspection of Halls No. 1 and 2 of Rabindra Bhavan, the Chief Minister learned about some of the problems there and directed the officials of the concerned departments to take necessary initiatives for their quick solution.
The Chief Minister then visited the Government Music College and Art College. Speaking to reporters after the visit, the Chief Minister said that the main purpose of his visit was to see the condition of various government buildings located in Agartala city.
In this regard, wherever some problems have been detected, quick resolution has also been ordered. The chief minister said that Rabindra Bhavan is the busiest building in Agartala city. Various public and private programs are held there almost every day. The authorities concerned have been directed to upgrade the seats in these two halls.
The Chief Minister told the reporters that the construction of flats under the TUDA Township project in Kaman Chowmuhani and adjacent to Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel, Kunjaban, is going on at a fast pace.
Meanwhile, all the flats under construction in Kaman Chowmuhani have been booked, and 60 percent of the flats under construction in Kunjaban have been booked. The construction of flats in these two places under the township project will be very beneficial for the people of Agartala, CM said.
Necessary instructions have also been given to the authorities of the construction company for the speedy completion of both projects, he added.
The Chief Minister said that the work of multi-level car parking at the old motor stand is also going on at a fast pace. Car parking is a major problem in Agartala city. Once the multi-level car parking is completed, the parking problem in Agartala City will be solved. The construction company has been instructed to complete the work within the specified time while maintaining quality.
The Chief Minister said that the construction of flats under Prime Minister’s Dream Project Light House is also going on at a fast pace. The construction company is working with the target of handing over the flats to the flat owners by the end of April 2024.
Secretary to Chief Minister Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary of Urban Development Department Abhishek Singh, District Magistrate of West Tripura Debapriya Bardhan, and officials of the Public Works Department and Higher Education Department accompanied the Chief Minister during the visit.
