The Tata Sons-owned Air India unveiled its new logo and livery on Thursday.

In a statement, Air India said, “There’s a new window of possibilities rising in the sky. Our new look reimagines the iconic Indian window, also part of our history, into a gold window frame, symbolising a “Window of Possibilities.”

“Our new livery and design feature a palette of deep red, aubergine, gold highlights, and a chakra-inspired pattern,” Air India said.

Travelers will begin to see the new logo and design starting December 2023.

While addressing the event, Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrashekharan said, ” We are fully committed to this journey to make Air India a world-class airline .”

We have been at work on the transformation during the last 15 months on this journey because our vision is to make this airline world-class in terms of safety, customer service, and experience that Air India used to be known for, but this requires enormous work on technology, fleet, maintenance, ground handling, operations and more, ” he said.

Earlier this year, Air India placed orders for 470 aircraft from Airbus and Boeing at $70 billion (based on published list prices). The deliveries of the new planes will start from November this year.
